(Wearable) Street Style Lookbook

Thursday, October 26, 2017

Good morning everyone! It's been a while since my blog has been active and that's a combination of terrible weather and focusing my spare time to applying for jobs #recentgradstruggles. I'm incredibly excited to share with you a new post because I've had this idea since January and I'm finally posting about it. It always feels good when you had an idea way back when and then finally seeing it through.

My favourite part about fashion month is looking at the street style! I always tweet about how I get more inspiration from street style fashion than from the actual runway. I will admit that I'm not loving street style as much as before mainly because I feel as if it's a competition as to who can dress the most 'out there' instead of style. For this lookbook, I put together 3 looks that I feel have street style vibes but also are totally wearable!

Outfit 1
For the first look, it's very city-like and the typical minimalistic look that a lot of bloggers go for. Personally, I can't stick to just black, white, grey and beige. It's way too hard and I definitely love colour in my closet (even though I do love my earth tones).  I decided to wear this adorable grey sweater that has a ruffle trim from SheIn and paired it with (faux) leather pants which easily screams street style. To tone it down, I wore a white blazer but of course I wanted the ruffle trim to stand out so I took it off a lot!

Sweater - SheIn
Pants - Zara (old)
Blazer - H&M
Shoes - Zara (old)

Outfit 2
I decided to dress up a casual sweater that I've worn on my blog before! If you're reading my blog for the first time, you should know I tend to re-wear a lot of pieces in my wardrobe. I'm definitely not one of those fashion bloggers who wear something once and then you never see it again on any of their social media. (There's a top I've worn LITERALLY 10 times on my blog)
In a previous video, I mentioned how iffy I was on it. It's not something I normally gravitate to but the unique fringe detailing intrigued me enough to try it on.
To dress it up, I thought wearing high waisted trousers (that have a tie in the front) would look really cute accessorized with a black cabby hat. It's the same colour palette as the first outfit but definitely something I'd wear more often! I love outfits that mix casual and dressy pieces.

Outfit 3
This is definitely my favourite outfit I've worn in a while. I've been waiting to style this bomber jacket from Zara that I got in their sale section last year during Boxing Day. It's such a unique jacket and I knew I'd love it next fall season (which is true). I decided to wear an old suede dress I got from Forever 21 and over the knee boots. I ended up accessorizing it with ear jackets which have hoops so it's still on-trend when it comes to fall accessories.

  1. For me, jeans have always been trendy and the best part is they look trendy in every season. I have a huge collection of jeans. But without a nice top, the pairing is incomplete. So, I have added trendy tops for women to complete the look. In accessories, a nice clutch is sufficient for ready to go look.
