Co-ordinate Your Wardrobe 4.0: Fall Transition

Monday, October 2, 2017
With the biopolar weather in Toronto (and pretty much everywhere else in the world), it's no wonder no one knows how to properly dress. It's that transitional time when you're cold in the morning and then burning in the afternoon or vice versa. When I came back from vacation at the end of August, Toronto had fall weather. I was ecstatic about pulling out my trench coats and starting to layer. I didn't think we'd be stuck in the transitional period for as long as we have been. It's crazy, the leaves are changing yet it feels like the hottest day of summer.

For today's post, it's sooner than I thought I would post it but it's another guide to styling matching sets. This one in particular I find perfect for this awkward transitional time because of the colours. It's a very loud floral print but because of the colours in it, it doesn't scream fall but it doesn't scream summer either - you can wear it for both seasons which is perfect.

OUTFIT 1: ELEGANT

The print makes it perfect for dressing up and dressing down. For this more elegant look, I decided to pair it with one of my favourite blouses from Zara and accessorizing it with gorgeous earrings I got from Pandora as a graduation present. The minute you put these earrings on, it easily makes the look more elegant and classy.

Skirt - H&M
Earrings - Pandora
Shoes - Zara

OUTFIT 2: CITY VIBES

I feel like it's an obvious reason why I chose to wear a basic grey cami underneath the jacket; the print is so loud so I wanted to tone it down by having a plain top rather than pattern mixing or something. I matched the top with the shoes to tie it all together as well!

OUTFIT 3: CASUALLY CHIC

Lastly, I wanted to make this look very casual so it can be a very different vibe from the other two looks. To bring out the pale blue in the jacket, I decided to pair it with a short sleeve cashmere colour that matches perfectly with it! I paired it with tasseled jeans to add more interest to the outfit.
