9-5 Style: Summer Lookbook

Thursday, June 15, 2017
Good morning everyone! Now that it's been freakishly warm in Toronto, I thought it'd be perfect to share a workwear summer lookbook. I'm trying to space out my workwear fashion posts because to be honest, I could have one all the time since I've been working full time the past couple of months!

A huge struggle for me during the summer is how to properly dress for the office because it can be really cold inside but the minute I walk outside, I'm sweating. I put together 3 looks that I've worn to work within the past week that I think are perfect for the season!

OUTFIT 1

I love how light and breezy this outfit is. I got the top from H&M for only $10 which is SUCH a good deal. I paired it with these straight leg dress pants from Dynamite to give the overall look a very feminine approach. To finish the look, I used a pair of rose gold sandals and accessorized with the typical Cherry Pick bracelet and Fossil watch combo.

Top - H&M
Pants - Dynamite
Shoes - Aldo
Watch - Fossil
Bracelet - Cherry Pick
OUTFIT 2

A huge tip I recommend when it comes to summer workwear is to wear chiffon or satin blouses. They're extremely light and airy for the warm season. I love this floral print blouse I recently got at H&M. I paired it with a navy linen shorts I got from there last year. H&M is usually my go-to which is why there's probably at least one piece in each outfit featuring them.

Blouse - H&M
Shorts - H&M
Shoes - Aldo

OUTFIT 3
For the last outfit, I'm not going to lie, it was a last minute outfit I put together early in the morning yesterday. I ended up being really happy with how it turned out after looking at the photos yesterday. I was telling one of my coworkers yesterday how the two pieces (the top and skirt) are my go-to pieces. You can always catch me wearing the top with any bottoms and the skirt with any top because they're black and white. It's so easy to match with anything in my closet so since I put those pieces together, I decided to add a scarf I got from Value Village. Literally, it was $2 and it's been a go-to accessory of mine ever since!

Outfit Details
Top - Zara (old)
Skirt - Zara (old)
Shoes - Zara
Scarf - Value Village // thrifted
