Winter to Spring Transition: How to Layer

Monday, March 6, 2017

A huge struggle a lot of people face is the transition period between seasons. Especially ones like winter to spring and summer to fall, you never know what to expect with the weather. The morning could be freezing and by the afternoon, it's warm. Not everyone has the opportunity to go home and change if they're out in the city all day and live in the suburbs.
I thought it'd be great to have a layering post on how to keep warm during this transition period but also not sweat yourself to death by showing a couple of outfits I love to wear.

Outfit 1

This look might look familiar to those who follow my Instagram/Instagram stories (PS: If you don't, you totally should, shameless plug). I wore something incredibly similar with a different colour turtleneck. Long sleeves are an absolute must for me but instead, I layered a corduroy playsuit over it. Since the playsuit was black, wearing my over the knee boots seemed like the right choice. I also wore the same coat in my fall-to-winter transition post!

Top - Lord and Taylor (old)
Playsuit - ASOS (old)
Cardigan - Stradivarus (old)
Shoes - Le Chateau

Outfit 2
I decided to wear the same sweater for this outfit. I wanted to keep with the theme of wearing neutrals since you can never go wrong with that for any season! I paired it with a patchwork skirt from Zara along with my favourite faux leather jacket from there as well. I love pairing over the knee boots with skirts, dresses and rompers so of course I had to wear my classic Le Chateau black ones.
