I've been wanting to go to Toronto Fashion Week ever since I became legal to buy tickets but unfortunately, when I had the opportunity to go, I had an important class to attend but finally, after 4 seasons of being legal, I FINALLY ATTENDED. I will admit it's really weird to say Toronto Fashion Week because for the past 6 seasons, it was called World Mastercard Fashion Week (WMCFW) - I do like the shorter hashtag but it though, #TFW is much easier to remember than #WMCFW.
I was lucky enough to collaborate with Spread, Cassandra from For the Love of Blonde and Cody Turner on this! It was so much fun to finally meet another local blogger and be able to collaborate right away.
Since it's fashion week, Cassandra and I went to Her Majesty's Pleasure to get our nails and makeup done. We've both wanted to go there and because there was a spring promotion going on, we thought it was perfect timing! The interior is amazing and I got to spend a lot of time walking around the place to take photos because I was done much earlier.
It's a very overwhelming experience--there's so much going on and it's fast paced you ALWAYS have to stay alert. I didn't end up vlogging or taking a lot of photos at the lounge because of everything going on. Next time I'll hopefully be able to do take more photos to post! My favourite booth was definitely Maybelline's because of the tiara. It wasn't those cheap Dollarama ones either and I didn't want to return it. The show itself was unique with the colour selection! The main colours were blush/rose quartz and black. There were a lot of textures and patterns, especially fur. Hilary MacMillan reintroduced her brand as cruelty-free this season which I found incredible!
Again, I'd like to thank Spread for sending me to my first fashion show! It's always been a dream of mine to attend a fashion show so I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity. Also, huge thanks to Cody for all these amazing shots.
